What makes stories so valuable to society?
Since the beginning of time, humans have been natural storytellers, using stories as a way to exemplify life, and share philosophy, compassion, and empathy. In fact, I believe that everything there is to learn about life can be found in stories, whether it’s a fairytale or a modern thriller.
What makes a reader want to keep reading your novel, and pick up your next book comes from the connections they feel with your characters, the way the story moves them, and makes them feel emotion.
With over fifteen titles published, I have studied the craft of storytelling, and writing to market. But what’s more, I’m obsessed with it.
A little about me, I’m an Archaeologist and an author, but my love is not only writing, but taking stories apart, and putting them back together in order to find what makes them work, and what makes them “unputdownable.” Learning what makes people obsessed with a story is a passion that I’m hoping to be able to share with you.
Specializing in fantasy, I offer a variety of services from developmental editing, story coaching, and a marketing session where we will discuss book covers, blurbs, and where your book would be the most marketable.
